Get Ready to #SaveTheNight: Exciting Launch Event Unveils €100,000 Fund for Nightlife Projects!

A significant event is on the horizon as Resident Advisor, along with fabric and Jägermeister, prepares for the launch of the 2023 #SaveTheNight initiative. Scheduled for August 31st at the renowned London club, this occasion promises to be an engaging blend of discussion and celebration.

Building on the success of last year's initiative, which distributed grants to various projects aimed at enhancing safety, inclusivity, and sustainability in nightlife, this year's fund has been boosted to a fantastic €100,000. Applications will open in September, inviting various projects to submit their proposals.

The day will kick-off with a series of insightful panels and networking opportunities designed for key influencers within London's dance music scene. The evening will conclude with a vibrant party featuring a lineup that is yet to be revealed.

One of the panels will be moderated by Tash LC and include contributions from notable figures such as Moxie and Shay Malt. They will explore the rising challenges regarding artist fees currently affecting the industry. Another panel discussion, led by journalist Chal Ravens, will investigate how dance music venues can maintain their viability in a rapidly evolving landscape, featuring insights from industry veterans including Judy Griffiths from fabric.

The final panel discussion, chaired by RA staff writer Michael Lawson, will tackle the important topic of making dance music more accessible to all, featuring artists I. JORDAN, Parris, and Nadine Noor from PXSSY PALACE.

This year’s #SaveTheNight jury will also engage in a conversation facilitated by a Jägermeister representative, focusing on their role in selecting and mentoring recipients of the fund. Detailed information regarding the jury and its members will be announced soon.

More information about the event and the funding application process will be available in the coming weeks, generating excitement and anticipation among the dance music community.
